The 2025 Lexus GX 550 Overtrail+ Just Raised The Bar

The updated 2025 Lexus GX 550 brings a few crucial upgrades to the Overtrail+ trim level. That's the one you want if you plan to use the GX how it's meant to be used.

The two most important updates are the air compressor in the back and a 1-inch lift.

I love this thing.

It's expensive ($112, 697 CAD // $82,905 USD sitting like this), but if you don't need the compressor, massage seats, cool box (yes, drinks will be cold when you get there), then you can save ~$15k CAD//$10k USD and just get the standard Overtrail.

That still gets the skid plates, knobby tires, hill descent control, and the locking rear diff.

If you already have something low, loud, and nimble, then this is the answer for a perfect 2-car garage.

Looks unreal in this Nori Green Pearl and is quiet on the road like a Lexus should be. 349 HP and 379 lb-ft of torque from a V6 is plenty. No hybrid stuff here. 👌

I drove the Luxury trim last year on 22-inch wheels and I CAN CONFIRM Overtrail is the spec to go with. Get out and drive!
