The $50,000 2025 WRX tS is the Most HARDCORE New Subaru

In a story as old as time, the 2025 WRX just moved closer to a full-blown STi model. The new 2025 WRX tS (Tuned by STi) takes the best from the GT trim and adds a few parts and tuning from the legendary Rally arm of Subaru.

Subaru may fool the casual Pacific Northwest enthusiast with the 2025 WRX tS, but they'll never fool anyone who's driven a real STi before.
Subarus goal with the tS (Tuned by STi) Is simply to create a more track-focused WRX.
Take the adaptive dampers from the GT model but delete the words "grand touring" and you've got yourself a much stiffer and but more compliant car over bumps than the 2024 TR (no adaptive dampers).
It rides great, corners flat, and could be your only car if you haven't yet been sworn into the cult of hatchbacks and wagons. (What are you waiting for?)
The STi badging is questionable, considering it doesn't have the STi's stronger 6-speed gearbox, front/rear LSDs (these ones are open), or center diff controller.
The fake carbon can leave, but I'll keep the Recaros and 6-piston Brembos!! For a car with only 271 HP and 258 Lb-ft of torque, it stops ON A DIME.
Great feel and a ton of fun to drive, just don't expect any loud noises or rowdy rally antics. Maybe one day.
MSRP: $47,995 CAD // $45,705 USD
As Tested: $50,617 CAD // $49,270 USD
I reserve the right not to comment on how much plastic I'm looking at.
